What you can do - starting right now
Understand that common-sense values have been temporarily defeated by a massive, loud, well-funded propaganda machine. Your voice was not heard, but the voices of millions who have been brainwashed by right-wing media was heard.
Write your local media regularly, make it a part of your weekly routine. Tell them what you think of Bush and his cronies. Write clearly, without nastiness or vulgarity. Know the mailing address and e-mail address of the newspapers where you live, and keep the information handy. Here are a few suggested topics.
Write our national media weekly. Express your outrage and disgust with the current corrupt, secretive, biased leadership. See links on the left side of this page for Time, Newsweek, and other media. Same topics, or whatever is important to you. Here are some suggested topics.
Write, call or e-mail your representatives in Congress regularly. Encourage them to resist the right-wing power-grab, the appointment of conservative judges, and the repeal of environmental legislation and programs for the elderly and children. Use the links on the left, or the ones here for your House and Senate representatives.
Boycott companies that financially support the incompetent, reckless, and arrogant George W. Bush. Be sure and write these companies to tell them why you are boycotting them. Major Republican and Bush donors to be boycotted are:
